Kashmiri Mogra Saffron is the best quality of saffron. Kashmiri Mogra Saffron dark red, long & silky threads has an extra ordinary aroma (safranel), powerful coloring strength (crocine), and flavouring properties. It is different from others regarding its Picocrocine (Flavour). Only dark red stigma portion is present in kashmiri mogra saffron.

Saffron is available in different grades depending upon the parts of whole filament (stigma and style). All red (sargul) saffron consists only stigma (red) parts of filament (threads). Thus all red saffron has distinct aroma, flavour and coloring characteristics. Approximate 109 kg of saffron flowers produces 1 kg of all red saffron.

Pushal (Mancha) saffron is lowest quality of saffron against Kashmiri Mogra Saffron and All Red saffron. Pushal saffron has stigma with 2 - 3 mm style. Pushal saffron rate is very reasonable against Kashmiri Mogra Saffron and All red Saffron. Approximate 102 kg of saffron flowers produces 1 kg pushal saffron.

All these qualities of saffron are according to the standards of The Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954 (PFA), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as well as International Organization of Standards (ISO).
